Pregnancy & postpartum physical therapy
Bring joy to pregnancy, free of pain. Then recover from birth with a plan, so you can get back to lifting, running, and living fully.
A pain-free pregnancy.
If you've had low back, pelvic, or hip pain during pregnancy, you are not alone. Many women are told this pain is normal and will go away after delivery. Sometimes it does, and sometimes it doesn't. Either way, you don't have to live with it for nine months. Physical therapy can reduce it and often eliminate it.
Pregnancy is also linked to diastasis recti, pubic symphysis dysfunction, urinary incontinence, and later pelvic organ prolapse. Obstetric physical therapy can help prevent many of these and correct them when they happen.
The pregnancy wellness evaluation
A visit designed to prepare your body for labor and delivery. Sarah looks at how you move and gives you a plan to help prevent pain, leaking, and tearing as you approach birth.
After baby arrives
Postpartum recovery deserves more than a single checkup. Whether you had a vaginal or cesarean birth, PT helps you rebuild strength, address leaking or pain, and return to exercise safely and with confidence.
You set the pace.
A pelvic health visit can feel vulnerable, and many people feel anxious before the first one. Here is how Sarah keeps it comfortable.

Everything explained first
You'll hear what the evaluation involves and why before anything happens.
Consent at every step
An internal exam is only done if it's helpful and you agree to it. You can say no or stop at any time.
A chaperone if you'd like one
Just ask. You're welcome to bring someone you trust.
Care for the whole story
Pain and trauma history often overlap. Your care is unhurried and respects both.
I felt that what is typically a transaction-based healthcare service was transformed into a relationship-based healing ministry. I left my physical therapy session feeling refreshed in a much deeper way than just physically. I felt a deep inner peace. My husband commented later that night that something was different about me. I asked him what, and he said that I seemed much more present and full of joy.Ashley S., patient
